Jordan Butcher began working in design as a teenager, creating album covers for local bands. In 2004, he joined Squad Studios in Seattle, where he cut his teeth on print and web projects for the music industry, leading him to go in-house for a record label under the EMI umbrella. After a few fits and starts with the freelance life, he joined the art department of the heritage apparel brand Filson and later joined the creative firm Belief Agency. In 2015, Jordan stepped out to start Strange Practice, where he applies the experiences cultivated over nearly two decades in design to new challenges with each project. Out of office, Jordan can be found criss-crossing the globe behind the drum kit for for several indie bands—or in the much quieter venue of a flowing stream, fly rod in hand.
